Staged Reading of
"The Case of Humanity v. Pontius Pilate"
Presented at San Jose Sacred Heart Parish
On Sunday, March 2, the Quo Vadis Theatre Company
presented a staged reading of "The Case of Humanity v.
Pontius Pilate" at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in San
Jose. There was a capacity crowd that attended following the 9:00
Mass. This particular play, written during the 1950's, dealt with
the verdict of history concerning Pontius Pilate and his role in the
crucifixion of Christ. It is set in the present day. The
audience was small enough to provide a reasonable size jury. Each
audience member was given a program with the cast list and a slip
of paper with the words "Guilty" and "Not Guilty" in
order to pass the verdict at the end. In this particular
presentation, the verdict was 'Guilty'
