A special production of the play
"The Case of Humanity vs. Pontius Pilate" was staged Tonight at Our Lady of Peace Parish on
Saturday, August 7.
Evening Also Includes Dinner,
Silent Auction, Raffle, and and Classical Music on both strings
and piano.
The Event was sponsored by the St. Joseph Fund for the
Benefit of the South Bay Apostolate of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest
The
drama included as prosecution witnesses: Joseph of
Arimathea, Nicodemus, and Mary Magdalene. Defense
witnesses were High Priest Emeritus Annas, High Priest
Caiaphas, and Pilates wife, Claudia Procula.

The issue: Pontius Pilate
felt that he was unjustly charged in the annals of history in
his role in the Crucifixion of Christ, so he asks for a trial in
order to clear his name. The Issue: Was there Treachery
in his motivation for his actions in the crucifixion, or did he
do what he felt was his Duty in order to
keep the peace in Jerusalem over the Passover feast?
The
audience served as the jury and cast their ballots.
The
Verdict: Not Guilty
