The “Site Hacked – Have to Rebuild” Blues

Posted on June 11, 2015 · Posted in General, Website Related

As some of you know, the QVTC website had been hacked and an obscene message placed in its corner.  After our hosting company techs found that there was further malware, They recommended that I  rebuild the site from scratch.  After getting all the pages copied to WordPad files, I deleted the WordPress database and started a new one.  After having a few issues, I managed to get it set up.  Getting up the theme that we had purchased on, as well as the custom CSS code.  I modified the code for the accordion to make the label text larger and easier to read.  I just re-pasted the codes for the pages.  Uploading and placing the pictures was easier because of the placeholders.

There is now a special page being built item by item putting some memorabilia from past shows, pics, audio files, videos, posters, flyers, and programs in PDF format.  This page is called “Scrapbook.”  It is up currently and will be added to in my copious free time.   I was singing the blues while doing it, but now I feel a lot better and more confident.
