Jack Wild
1953-2006

He was best known in the role of "The Artful Dodger" in both the original stage production and the Oscar winning film "Oliver", whom he played at 15 years, and was nominated for an Oscar in 1968.  He also played in the Sid & Marty Krofft TV series "H.R. Pufnstuf" in the U.S.

Peter Boyle
1935-2006

Best known for his role of Frank Barone, Ray Barone's irascible dad  in the TV series "Everybody Loves Raymond".  He had an impressive string of great film roles, including the uproarious  performance as the monster in Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein." and as the corrupt mining manager in "Outland."

Darren McGavin
1922-2006

The 50s stage legend who later played the gruff, but lovable character known as "Kolchak, the Night Stalker".  He was also the husband of the late veteran stage and TV actress Kathie Browne.

He also played the title role in the earlier "Mike Hammer" in the early 60's.

Darren had the privilege of working on stage with many of the stars who later emerged on television during the 1960's and 1970's, such as Pernell Roberts, Hurd Hatfield, Robert Lansing and Joanne Woodward.

Darren also worked with Don Knotts the forgotten Disney gem "No Deposit, No Return" in the 1970's

Darren  worked at the Blackfriars Theatre in New York. The Blackfriars Theatre closed in 1972.  The company has since been revived by Fr. John Peter Cameron, O.P. as the Blackfriars Repertory Theatre.

 

Dennis Weaver
1924-2006

Dennis was best known as "McCloud" a New Mexico lawman working in the Big Apple, and as the limp-legged deputy "Chester" in the early years of  "Gunsmoke".  He was an environmentalist as well. 

One of his best roles was the intended victim of a truck driver in Steven Spielberg's classic "Duel." and had a role in the Korean War classic "The Bridges at Toko-Ri"

He also served as president of the Screen Actors' Guild.

 

 

Don Knotts
1924-2006

The lanky, saucer-eyed comic actor who was best known as apartment manager Ralph Furley in "Three's Company" and had earned several Emmy awards as the inept, yet lovable deputy, Barney Fife in "The Andy Griffith Show/Mayberry R.F.D"
